In 2022, Playbook Management Company and Carrie Frye Interior Design moved their custom co-working space from Montford Park to Atherton Lofts, a historic cotton mill building in South End.

The upfit preserved original features such as 17-foot wood ceilings, heavy timber beams, exposed brick, and 100-year-old hardwood floors. The new space has open-concept workstations, enclosed heads-down rooms and casual collaboration areas. 

Atherton Lofts has come a long way since it was built in 1892 as the first industrial property in the Dilworth district, and so has South End, transforming from a rural area to an industrial area to one of the hottest retail, restaurant, office and residential neighborhoods in Charlotte. Playbook is proud to be part of this next evolution of South End!
